Gold Bud Beencha Pu-erh, 1999
Gold Bud Beencha pu-erh tea consists of young Chinese black tea leaves picked in early spring and exhibits a delicate, softer flavor than other traditional Pu-erh teas. Compressed into a tea cake or Beencha, the tender leaves generate a well balanced and hearty cup. Good for multiple infusions. The Beencha measures 4" across.

The quality of tea is affected by the quality of water used to prepare it. Using filtered or bottled water is best. If possible, avoid brewing tea with tap, distilled or mineral water. Never over-boil water, as it results in flat-tasting tea.
1) Heat filtered or bottled water to a rolling boil or 205F. 2) While the water is heating pour hot water into your teapot and cups, let sit and then drain completely. A warm teapot will maintain the requisite temperature for superior tasting tea.
Whole Leaf Tea
Break off a small section of the brick, about the equivalent of one rounded teaspoon and use per 12 ounces or cup of water. Before steeping, we recommend rinsing the tea once with boiling water. Prepare the tea using a teapot, paper tea sachet, infuser or traditional brewing methods.
Pour boiling water over tea leaves. Keep teapot covered to retain heat. Time steeping carefully and infuse for 3 - 4 minutes.
