Mocha Truffle Pu-erh
Our Mighty Leaf Mocha Truffle pu-erh tea combines handcrafted small golden leaf buds to make this a rare and full-bodied tea from China's Yunnan Province. It is one of the most difficult of the pu-erh teas to produce. In the cup the tea is a deep amber color with a rich, smooth and savory flavor with a hint of cocoa, accented by additional cacao nibs and then balanced by the clean, sharp notes of citrus.

The quality of tea is affected by the quality of water used to prepare it. Using filtered or bottled water is best. If possible, avoid brewing tea with tap, distilled or mineral water. Never over-boil water, as it results in flat-tasting tea.
1) Heat filtered or bottled water to a rolling boil or 205F. 2) While the water is heating pour hot water into your teapot and cups, let sit and then drain completely. A warm teapot will maintain the requisite temperature for superior tasting tea.
Whole Leaf Tea
Use one rounded teaspoon per 8-12 ounces of water. Before steeping, we recommend rinsing the tea once with boiling water. Prepare the tea using a teapot, paper tea sachet, infuser or traditional brewing methods.
Pour boiling water over tea leaves. Keep teapot covered to retain heat. Time steeping carefully and infuse for 3 - 5 minutes depending upon desired strength.

Other health benefits widely associated with the tea plant apply as well.
In general, Pu-erhs make excellent digestives, especially served after large and heavy meat based meals. They pair well with chocolate and coffee based desserts. The tea's earthy and hearty flavors also compliment mushroom dishes.
