I wanted to try the loose teas because I remember my grandmother drinking them when I was a little girl. I really enjoy this tea and it does not seem to get bitter like some caffeine teas do when they sit. This was definitely a good choice and I don't need to use a lot of sweetner.

I perfer a cup of assam in the morning with my breakfast. I think the tea has a reasonably strong body, but it lacks the kick of something like a Darjeeling. I won't say it is the most remarkable tea I've ever had, but it is a good quality "everyday tea" that accompanies meals well. The description of this product indicates that is tastes of swiss chocolate, but I do not agree. I don't find the taste particularly sweet like that of the golden monkey, which to me has a profound chocolate aroma and taste.

This is typically a smooth, lighter black tea if brewed gently. Be careful not to use too many leaves or steep it too long. It goes bitter quickly if you do.

Excellent morning tea! Although I mainly drink coffee in the morning and tea in the afternoon with a homemade sweet treat this has ocassionally been a tea I have had with a hearty breakfast such as an omlette with toast or oatmeal. It also goes well with sweets, especially the milder ones. Good with scones (try doing homemade!)
