No matter what time of day I make this tea it is relaxing to sip and smell. I love the earthy flavor that helps to refocus my mind. I have a two cup teapot and my teenage son is always in line for the second cup of this tea.

I stumbled upon Hojicha at a small-town apple orchard and gift shop in little Rhode Island. Although green tea tends to be bitter, I found this tea to have a smooth, pleasant taste. I immediately went online to buy more and now I'm a huge fan of Mighty Teas!! I try to drink four cups of green tea daily for health benefits. I'm so glad I finally found the right taste!

This is my favorite tea. I love white tea as well, but it's not always affordable to get the finest. That's one reason I like Hojicha. It's affordable so I can drink it everyday all day if I feel like it. And that's a good thing because often this is the only tea I feel like drinking: it's soothing, tastes beautiful, refreshes on a warm day, comforts on a cold day, and keeps me happy any day. It's also low on caffeine so I can drink it without feeling edgy but it still keeps my spirits alive. That's the best thing about it: the way it makes me feel after tasting something so heavenly, I could make it through anything with this tea. Thanks Mighty Leaf!

My first exposure to this tea was in an open air cafe in NC and the aroma was so wonderful and calming that I knew I had found something truly special. The spectacular flavour and the fact that it is organic is just icing on the cake! LOVE IT!!!

I read other's comments that this tea got them off coffee. I was surprised, as that is what this Hojicha did for me - when I never planned to go off coffee! If you only crave fruity teas, don't even try this one - it's not fruity, spicy, citrusy, & doesn't have the grassy flavor of Sencha. (It's pan-fired, roasted, rich, nutty.) Mighty leaf's Hojicha blend is also 10x better than any Hojicha you'll find in the grocery store. You might not like this one right away - but did you love coffee the first time you tried it?

When I first tried this tea I was surprised it was in the "Green" category because it has a much darker color and fuller flavor than some of the other green teas I've tried by Mighty Leaf. It brews up to a rich brown color, and the flavor and aroma are very strong, nutty, and a bit smokey. Very interesting brew, and I can see why some coffee drinkers have switched to this for their morning drink. Definitely worth a try.
