Brand: Original Mighty Leaf Tea
Located in: Loose Teas, Pu-erh Teas
These handcrafted small golden leaf buds make this a rare and full-bodied tea from the Yunnan Province. It is one of the most difficult of the Pu-erh teas to produce. In the cup the tea is a deep amber color with a rich, smooth and savory flavor with a hint of cocoa, accented by additional cacao nibs and then balanced by the clean, sharp notes of citrus.

Quite Bitter. I had to add cream and sugar to enjoy, which I am not opposed to doing since it has caffeine and prefer tea to coffee in the morning. However, I do not like this tea as much as others.

I really liked this tea - very complex flavor that made me want to take time and ponder. It seems to leave a warm earth sensation in my entire mouth that was very pleasant and exotic as I am not too familiar with Pu-erhs. I am someone who likes complex teas and wouldn't necessarily serve this to anyone. That said, my husband, who's not as much into tea, did like it and oddly preferred the aroma to the other caffinated chocolate truffle teas. I think this is my favorite tasting of these, and I love all three.

I must admit, as much of a tea enthusiast as I am, I had never had Pu Erh tea before. The cup smelled like a barn, which I could not get over. I enjoyed the taste of the tea fairly well, but could not overcome the barnyard smell. I will have to give Pu Erh another try, as I can't stand to think there is a tea out there that I don't LOVE, but it was definitely not love at first taste.

I am a Pu-erh lover. This is probably one of the best flavored pu-erhs I have ever tried. Well done Mighty Leaf! I don't want my cup to end. It's delicious, smooth, creamy, and simply perfect. It's like drinking dessert! I prefer mine with some sugar and vanilla soy milk. It's the perfect balance of flavors.
