I am an earl grey tea lover, but have come to discover that not all earl greys are the same. I first discovered this tea while having dinner at the Watergate Hotel in DC and quickly ripped the label off the bag so I could find out where to buy it. I have introduced so many people to it. As soon as they try it, they are hooked. It has the right balance of flavors. The bergamot is not overpowering on this one.

I first tasted this tea at an educator's conference in San Francisco, CA at the Sir Drake Hotel. The tea was so beautifully packaged that I simply had to indulge. Upon returning to Memphis, TN, I immediately ordered the regular and decaf varieties of Earl Grey. Not bitter like Gevalia's Earl Grey...simply delicious, smooth, and fragrant. I usually drink whole leaf earl grey (not Mighty Leaf) on the weekends and on weekdays when I get up early enough, but I wanted some in a bag I could use on the go. Based on positive reviews, I picked some up, but was disappointed by the lack of flavor intensity and aroma in this tea. It's good, just not great. After some tweaking, I found that 2 bags per 12oz of boiling water is best, with just a little milk.

I love Earl Grey (I just love tea in general!). This organic version is just what I've been looking for. It has a smooth taste and great aroma.
