This came recommended AFTER a phone call and questions about it; asked if it was dishwasher proof and told yes. It is NOT. Very flimsy and cheap looking. I almost feel as though it came from the $ store. The glass is not very clear and looks yellow compared to my glass Bodum infuser pot. If I had been in a live store, I would never have purchased this item. To return it with shipping fees and the hassle involved is hardly worth it. CAVEAT EMPTOR.

My friend thought the design was cute and loved that it kept her teapot nice and warm!

The glass teapot from Mighty Leaf is a great gift - functional as well as beautiful. Add to this the ability to see how strong your tea is (I like weak tea and have friends who like it very strong) or how beautiful your tea is (the flowering teas are especially good here) and you have the perfect setting for an afternoon tea.

Because i drink so much black tea I must reduce the caffine potency. To do this and still have a rich dark tea, I increase the amount of tea and brew for one and a half minutes. The tea is full flavored, deep color and has little caffine.
Also, I dampen the tea leaves slightly with hot water, throw away the excess water at bottom of tea pot, wait 10 - 20 seconds until tea leaves are thoroughly moist. Then I add hot water and brew for 1.5 minutes. This makesa wonderful rich tea with little caffine.
