  • 3 Bombay Chai teabags
  • 1 c of water
  • 1 c of whole or skim milk
  • 2 oz of liquid chocolate
Directions:

Place tea bags in a pot from your tea set. Boil water in a separate kettle and pour over the tea bags. Let steep for 5 minutes, stir occasionally and then remove the teabags.

Simultaneously warm the milk in a separate pan over medium heat, but do not boil the milk.

Add the tea to pan with the milk and bring to a simmer.

Add the liquid chocolate and keep stirring until all of it dissolves within the milk/tea mixture.

Pour into mugs, serve and enjoy!

  • 4 egg whites
  • 4 egg yolks
  • 1 c of butter
  • 1-2/3 c of sugar
  • 1 c of cold black tea (brewed)
  • 2 c of white, all-purpose flour
  • 1-1/2 tbsp baking powder
  • 1/3 c bread crumbs (dry)
  • 1/3 c unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 c of chopped hazelnuts
Directions:

Preheat oven to 360 degrees F. Grease and then flour a 9” Bundt pan. Cream the egg yolks, butter and white sugar together in a large bowl – until it is light and fluffy. Slowly add the black tea and beat it in. Next, toss the flour, baking powder, bread crumbs, cocoa powder, and hazelnuts together; gently fold it into the mixture until consistent.

In a large bowl, whip the egg whites. Then gently fold the egg whites into the batter. Next, pour the entire mixture into the Bundt pan.

Bake for 65 to 75 minutes until a toothpick inserted into the cake, comes out cleanly. Cool cake in the pan for 20 minutes, then move to a wire rack to cool completely. Slice, serve with gourmet tea and enjoy!
