This green tea from Japan, known as Usucha Matcha, is an elegant powdered tea made from the finest Japanese tencha and is commonly used in the traditional Japanese tea ceremony. Experience the Way of Tea or "Cha No Yu" as you whip up a frothy emerald green infusion with our organic Matcha green tea powder.

Usucha Matcha contains highly concentrated green tea vitamins, minerals, chlorophyll, and unique L-theanine amino acids found almost exclusively in green tea. Thick and concentrated, this precious organic matcha green tea inspires focus and calm.

  • 1.5 oz. tin = ~30 cups
  • 3.0 oz. bag = ~55 cups

Add 1 teaspoon of matcha to your matcha bowl (or any 4-10oz. bowl). If the matcha has any lumps add a small amount of cold water and use your whisk to dissolve into a smooth paste. Add 2.5-3oz. of 175° water to the bowl. Use a bamboo whisk to froth the matcha until all of the large bubbles are gone — approximately 15-30 seconds. When ready to drink, the liquid should look thick and frothy with tiny bubbles.
