Spa Tea

Step 1: Make the Tea Butter:

Ingredients:

1/2 cup (1 stick) butter
2 tsp (2 pouches)  Organic African Nectar

Directions

1. Place butter in a saucepan on low heat
2. Once the butter begins to melt, stir in tea. Steep tea in heating butter, being careful not to burn it.
3. After butter has begun to clarify, cover and remove from heat, allow tea to continue steeping for 5 minutes
4. Strain the tea from the butter, making sure to press any excess butter from the leaves
5. Transfer the infused tea butter to the fridge to solidify for up to 5 minutes

Step 2: Make the Cookies!

Ingredients:

1 1/2 cups Tea Butter, softened
2 cups granulated white sugar
4 large eggs
5 cups flour
2 tsps baking powder
1 tsp salt

Directions

1. In a large bowl, mix the Tea Butter and sugar until smooth. 
2. Mix in the eggs and fully combine.
3. In a smaller bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt.  Slowly add the flour mixture to the tea butter mixture until combined. Cover and chill at least 30 minutes or overnight.
4. Preheat the oven to 400°F. Roll out the dough on a floured surface to around 1/2 inch thick.
5. Use your favorite cookie cutters to cut shapes & arrange on an ungreased cookie sheet at least 1/2 inch apart.
6. Bake 6-8 minutes, allow to cool, then have fun decorating. (Tea Butter may also be used to make Tea Butter Cream Frosting!)
